Winelands Family Practice is a small general practice in Paarl looking after families across the Winelands. Dr Naledi Khumalo and the reception team see patients for everyday illness, chronic conditions, children's health and minor procedures, with urgent slots kept open every day.
Appointments are booked by WhatsApp or phone. Bring your ID, medical aid card and current medication, arrive a few minutes early, and you will be seen at your time. Scripts, referrals and sick notes go out the same day.
The rooms are open Monday to Friday and Saturday mornings. For a medical emergency call 10177 or go to the nearest emergency unit.

Bring your ID, medical aid card and any current medication or previous results so the doctor has the full picture.
Time to listen, examine and explain. You leave knowing what was found, what happens next and what it will cost.
Scripts, referrals, sick notes and results are sent through on the channel you prefer, and chronic patients are reminded when a review is due.

Booking is best, and a WhatsApp message or a phone call to reception is enough. Urgent cases are seen on the day where possible; walk-ins wait for the next gap between booked patients.
Ask the practice which schemes it claims from directly. Where the practice is contracted out, you pay the consultation and claim back from your scheme with the invoice we give you.
Your ID, your medical aid card if you have one, a list of any medication you take, and any previous results or referral letters. Arrive ten minutes early so reception can open your file.
For chronic medication, usually yes between reviews, provided you have been seen within the period the doctor sets. Send the medication name and your pharmacy to reception and they will confirm.
Every doctor practising in South Africa must be registered with the Health Professions Council of South Africa and carries an MP number. You may ask to see it; a registered doctor will give it without hesitation.
A standard consultation is booked for fifteen minutes. If you have several concerns or need a procedure, tell reception when you book so the doctor has enough time.
